Gamers divided on whether Valve's taken the right approach with mixing up the visuals for Team Fortress 2, ditching the realistic military style last seen, should understand what all the positive fuss is about when they check out the short trailer they've packaged for the online multiplayer shooter.
The Pixar comparisons to The Incredibles are spot-on; the animation and stylization is like nothing else the genre's seen before.

The sensational zombie-slasher from Capcom for the Xbox 360, Dead Rising, will not appear in Germany. Apparently the USK, the people who test the appropriateness of games, didn't like the way you can hack, slash, kill and maim the zombies. This is especially odd because a number of years ago the same group did approve the infamous game Carmageddon, in which you had to drive over people for points (although human pedestrians were replaced by zombies in the German version).

Is Microsoft pushing Nintendo to help them take down Sony in the next generation?

Allegedly, the new bundle will come with an Xbox 360, Project Gotham Racing 3 ($50 value), 1250 Xbox Live Marketplace points (just over $15), and a three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription card ($20 value). The post doesn't specify which Xbox the bundle will contain, but presumably it would be the 20GB hard-drive-equipped, $399 premium model.

A tipster sends us word of a new "brand" of ecstasy (aka MDMA) making the rounds at UK raves and such, called Xbox 360. I kid you not. There's a little debate going on over at Squatjuice about whether the game-named drug is cut with MDA, LSD or even Mescalin.

If Brier Dudley of the Seattle Times is to be believed (he seems like a nice enough fellow), Microsoft is not only poised to release an Xboy this Christmas, but will have it interacting with Xgirl, Xuncle and Xred-headed step-child, the latter of which will probably prove a formidable challenge to market. All part of Project Argo -- the name of the warship that carried Greek Mythology's Jason around -- the project jokingly dubbed Xboy seems to be a full attack on that popular, more fruitful music player and it is likely to be waged on multiple...

It looks like Microsoft is preparing a new Xbox 360 with digital video port. Pictures have been leaked on the internet of an Xbox360 motherboard with a HDMI output.
A digital output would certainly come as good news for those out there with new HDTV-sets and it could be pretty useful for the HD-DVD addon too, certainly if those movies will ever be HDCP-protected. However people who already paid $400 for their 360 might feel less happy if Microsoft releases this soon.
XBOX support will not fix broken hardware that is less then 6 months old, and has already been replaced once due to DEFECTIVE hardware. Phone Audio included.
Rated-M takes an in-depth and provocative look at the first 8 months of the XBOX 360's life.
Halo 3 developer Bungie did an interesting weekly update discussing their single- and multiplayer tests and how they are developing the new friendly/opponent AI.
