It was reported earlier this week that EA was considering buying Crytek. Some thought EA would want to get their hands on the Crysis Engine, and wrap up the profits for the new game.
“According to a representative for Electronic Arts, Gerhard Florin’s comments were misinterpreted; the company is not negotiating the acquisition of Crytek.”

A report published in a German newspaper today suggests that Electronic Arts (EA) could snuggle up with Crytek closer and beyond the distribution deal for the upcoming Crysis first-person-shooter. The developer of FarCry would be the second German game developer EA would be acquiring within a short period of time.
According to article, EA's executive vice president and general manager of international publishing Gerhard Florin described Crytek as a "very, very interesting candidate" for an acquisition. Faruk Yerli, co-founder of the...

Electronic Arts executive VP and COO of worldwide studios David Gardner revealed to MCV that the publisher is starting to refocus its handheld efforts on Nintendo DS in light of what he feels are negatives on the price and performance of its competitor, Sony's PlayStation Portable.
"There’s no doubt that EA has historically bet more on PSP," Gardner explained. "I think we were excited by the technology, but the consumers have proven that actually what they want is fun. We must never forget that what we need to focus on is fun and so EA is...

Have you ever wondered why EA would need you to play on their servers and not Microsoft's on XBox Live? There are a lot of reasons: they like to spam you, they want your personal information, they are devilish devils who do the devil's work, etc. Justr pick one. One of the things that few of us thought of was the fact that they could turn off any game they want. There is a disclaimer on their packaging that says that they can end support for online gaming at any time, but I guess we didn't think they would actually do it. Well, they are. What...

The source, who did not wish to be named, claimed that EA has been meeting with show organisers the Entertainment Software Association in a bid to drive prices down.
The suggestion that EA is leading the move away from E3 is not entirely surprising. Senior executives expressed concern over the value of the event...
