Confusion surrounds the future of the $499 60Gig version of PS3. SCEA has denied 'inaccurate' reports that its $100 price cut on the 60Gig PS3 is simply a move to clear stock before offering solely the higher priced 80Gig version. But different stories are coming of of the company all the time. Kaz Hirai seems to think the $499 SKU is a goner...

The final, and perhaps biggest surprise that concluded Nintendo’s E3 2007 press conference continues in the vain of several of the company’s “self-improvement” philosophy games. WiiFit will combine four major forms of exercise and fitness development solutions, including aerobic, muscular, yoga, and balancing exercises.

Several of the different minigames were shown off at the event, revealing a myriad of exercises, including push-ups, hula-hooping, step aerobics and more.

All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the...

A true artist can find inspiration anywhere. But not many get to find it while playing Wii Tennis against Nintendo's legendary designer, Shigeru Miyamoto. For director Steven Spielberg, however, that's just another day out of the office. "Afterwards, we were talking about the Wii and I said, 'Wouldn't it be fun if we could dot-dot-dot?' " Spielberg says of his meeting with Miyamoto at a 2006 videogame conference. That dot-dot-dot turned out to be an action-puzzle simulator—code-named PQRS—that neatly blends the creativity of the...

Nintendo has apparently begun working with Apple, licensing a limited amount of content for the new phone. It was rumored a while back that Nintendo was planning on releasing a phone on their own, however this was scuttled shortly after the iPhone was first shown in January.

These exclusive games will be released on the iTunes Store at a $29.00 price point. The one thing Nintendo does worry about is their amount of control of Apple. Nintendo sees gaming on Mobile Smart Phones as a threat to their core business and a partnership with Apple...

In what may be one of the costliest consumer warranty repairs in history, Microsoft announced on Thursday that it would spend up to $1.15 billion to repair failing Xbox 360 game machine consoles.

While the company would not say how many units were failing, Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division, said that there have been an “unacceptable high number of repairs.” The majority of Xbox 360 owners, he said, have not experienced hardware failure.

Company officials said that Microsoft had sold 11.6...
